Position Summary:
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. The COO will work closely with the CEO to ensure that the company's operations are aligned with its strategic goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in operations management, particularly within the IT outstaffing industry.
Operational Leadership:
Develop and implement operational strategies that support the company's growth and profitability.
Oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all processes.
Coordinate with department heads (HR, Recruiting, Finance, Legal) to ensure that all operational activities align with the company’s goals.
Process Improvement:
Create the infrastructure to scale up to 500 (from 200) people in a year.
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead initiatives to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
Team Management:
Provide leadership and guidance to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Mentor and develop middle management, promoting a strong leadership pipeline within the organization.
Financial Oversight:
Work with the CFO (financial dep) to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning related to operations.
Monitor and manage operational costs to ensure profitability and sustainability.
Client Relations:
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by maintaining efficient operations that meet or exceed client expectations.
Collaborate with HR management teams to understand client needs and tailor operations accordingly.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and implement contingency plans to manage operational disruptions.
Technology and Innovation:
Leverage technology to optimize operations and improve service delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to keep the company competitive in the market.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular updates to the CEO and board on operational performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
Facilitate clear communication between departments to ensure alignment and coordination.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within the IT outstaffing industry.
Proven track record of managing large teams (200+ employees) and overseeing complex operations.
Strong understanding of the IT industry, particularly in outstaffing and outsourcing services.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.
Experience with budget management, financial planning, and cost control.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
